Maybe we could approach this problem by considering the mass density instead of the electron density used in conventional DFT. The gravitational attraction between the Sun and the planets would replace the Coulomb interactions between charged particles. Following the idea of the Kohn-Sham method, we could construct an effective gravitational potential in which each planet moves independently, while the influence of the other planets is included through this potential.
