Hello everyone,
My name: Ahnaf Rehad
City and country: I am taking this course from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Why you should visit my city: Dhaka is worth visiting for its rich history, vibrant culture, welcoming people, and diverse traditional food.
My background: I am currently studying in the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). My research interests include MOFs, heterojunction composites, carbon quantum dots, photocatalysis, electrochemical energy storage, and computational materials science.
What I expect from this course: I hope to develop a practical and systematic understanding of Density Functional Theory, learn how to perform and interpret calculations using Quantum ESPRESSO, and understand how computational methods can be applied to real materials-research problems.
My longer-term goal: I plan to pursue a PhD in materials science and develop expertise combining experimental research with computational modelling. I expect this course to provide the foundation needed to begin independent computational research.
