Hello everybody,
My name is Des and I am a masters student of nanophysics at the university of Antwerp, Belgium. My reason to visit Antwerp is to visit the cathedral and the train station, as they are the most beautiful in Belgium in my opinion 🙂
I am excited to learn about the theory of DFT and how to apply it in code to simulate material properties. I am specifically very interested to learn how the calculated properties compare to the experimentally determined properties, and why they might differ. I hop that this course will help me to gain more insight into what is predictable from first principle calculations. I am looking forward to working with all of you!
