    Due to the high computational demand of solving the Schrodinger equation it has historically had limited use. However, because computational limitations are diminishing there is real potential for the use of these tools regularly. By training a new generation of materials scientists into familiarity in using these tools they can remain highly relevant and impactful in their respective field.
