A solid is a state of matter, where building blocks (atoms/molecules) are so close to each other that we require a good amount of energy to separate them.
I think this in a part of the defintion given on the video, saying that we need a certain amount of energy relates to the theory we need for solids, elctromagnetic and quantum, so I think you could add that more explicity, to say that Classical Mechanics are not the thepry we use to describe them
