I think that the current trends point to a revolution in materials designs using computing technology. As the video said, you can screen for material properties using a computer and verify them in a lab. I think that this is important because it eliminates the time and effort needed in materials discovery. Using computing resources, one can aim to obtain a desired property for a material. Using lab-only methods is more consuming in terms of both time and cost. For these reasons, I believe that there are many advances to be made in materials science using computational methods.
