My interest is purely in pushing boundaries of performance of materials. The talk assumes that current theories are perfect and can predict failure of materials etc. In today’s resource constrained world this context is increasingly becoming important. What i look forward to as a vision is to refine current mental models of performance and theory to help us do more with less and push the boundaries of performance.
