My name is Tom. I’m taking this course as a part of my master in Nano and Materials chemistry at the university of Ghent.
Hi Tom, I am Nico. I am an experimental physicist working on solid-state synthesis of inorganic materials.
I came across this course while trying to understand DFT calculations and became interested in the field of computational physics.Greetings Tom and Nico, my name is Philip, I am a 1st year PhD student in condensed matter physics at Grenoble-Alpes University in France. In the frame of preparing my thesis, I am working on quantum simulations of magnetic memories based on 2D materials using DFT and quantum transport theory. The participation in this online course will grant me, as I hope, a practical introduction on understanding and handling DFT codes.
