When looking for a specific place in a new city, having Google maps is ideal as it minimizes your travel time. However, just being point into the right direction will already save you a lot of time compared to searching on your own. This is to say that, even if a full mapping of all possible materials is not available yet, just having a computational tool to check if you are likely going into the right direction would make a major difference in terms of the cost, effort and time required for research and development.
