‘Solid’ is a phase of matter that makes an invisible or irregular phase of a matter ‘visible’. This is very general statement.

Now technically, the ‘solid’ is a ‘state of matter that makes its constituents close packed while the constituents be atoms or molecules with very strong inter atomic or inter molecular attractive forces, and give the matter a shape regular or irregular’
