we call quantum physics as an abinitio model because, there is this sets of rules, let’s say functions for the sake of understanding which we don’t change seeing our result. once we fit input, we leave up to it, whatever it gives. So, same is for the the classical and electromagnetism (I was bad with maxwellian equations :), so i don’t want to stress that part).
