Both quantum physics and the classical mechanics are ab initio model due to the fact that they use fundamental laws and elemental physical magnitudes to describe nature. Further more, classical electromagnetism would also be considered an ab initio model. The reasoning for it being that it only follows the fundamental laws of magnetism.
