Classical correlation fixes the approximation of using a continuous mass density, because planets are actually discrete objects that interact locally. In quantum systems, we already have a wave function that describes the position of the electron, and electrons also need to obey the Pauli exclusion principle, which accounts for the exchange energy. Because classical systems lack this Pauli principle and exchange energy, they cannot share the same definition of correlation.
