For this course, I can use my personal laptop for the ab initio calculations. It has an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor with 24 cores (32 threads), a maximum clock speed of about 5.8 GHz, and 96 GB of RAM. I also have access to university computing clusters for larger calculations, but the laptop should be enough for most of the exercises in this course.
