Presenting myself :)

My name is Kinga. I’m from Poland, and I study here in the city of Białystok. You should visit my city at least once in your life, because we don’t have enough tourists here! There is a lot of beautiful architecture, especially the Branicki Palace, which is also called the Versailles of Eastern Europe. We also have a church that has a bigger add-on than the church itself!
I’m a PhD Student in Physics. I study nanoparticles, especially magnetite doped with lanthanides as potential water filters. From this course, I expect to learn a little bit about the ab initio methods that will be useful in my research. The longer-term goal in my life to which I expect this course will contribute is to be a specialist in ab initio crystallography methods at my university. We only have crystallography/solid state experimentalists (I also love it), but it would be useful to have someone who knows about calculating theory.
