HF vs DFt

For a large molecule with thousands of atoms and a tens of thousands of electrons, there will naturally be a lot of correlation effects between these electrons and correlation hence plays a major role in this system. Using HF and hence neglecting this correlation will lead to large inaccuracies and hence DFT should be used to model this molecule.
